Columbia, Mo. โ€” Heavy police presence has been reported on the University of Missouri campus in Columbia after a shooting incident on Monday, August 18.

According to initial reports, the shooting occurred at or near the Alpha Phi sorority house, prompting an urgent response from university police and local law enforcement.

Authorities have confirmed that the suspected shooter remains at large. As a precaution, roads in the area have been closed, including Burnam and Providence Road, while officers continue to search the area and secure the scene.
