Tara Gross, Dandra Byrd Obituary, Death – A tragic multi-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County on Tuesday claimed the lives of two women and left five others injured, according to Maryland State Police. Troopers were dispatched around 1 p.m. to the intersection of Maryland Route 202 and St. Joseph’s Drive in the Largo area after receiving reports of a serious collision involving several vehicles. When they arrived, they found a chaotic scene with multiple damaged cars and victims in need of medical assistance.

Investigators said the chain of events began when a car traveling along Route 202 struck a curb. The impact caused the vehicle to go airborne before crashing into a truck. The force of that collision pushed the truck forward into a minivan. The airborne vehicle then continued striking four more vehicles before finally overturning.

The driver of the first car, along with four others, sustained injuries and were transported to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center. Their conditions have not yet been released. Additional victims were treated on-site for minor injuries, while some occupants reported no injuries at all.

Sadly, two women were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities identified them as 50-year-old Tara Gross of Camp Springs and 31-year-old Dandra Byrd of Riverdale.
