Fatal crashes involving left-hand turns remain a significant concern on highways, where higher speeds can make judgment errors especially dangerous. Safety experts note that drivers making turns across traffic lanes should exercise extra caution, as vehicles approaching from the opposite direction may be moving faster than they appear.

Friends and neighbors are mourning her loss, remembering her as a familiar and kind presence in town. For many, the crash underscores the importance of cautious driving, especially for older motorists who may face added challenges when navigating busy roadways.
