FAIRVIEW, Okla. — The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has launched an investigation into a deadly shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Fairview, Oklahoma.

According to officials, the Fairview Police Department requested OSBI’s assistance after officers were called to a residence near East State Road and Sylvia Street at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025.

Deputies with the Major County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.

Two victims, identified as 49-year-old David Archuleta and 17-year-old Violet Archuleta, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two others, 44-year-old Laura Archuleta and a 13-year-old male, were critically injured and transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.

Authorities confirmed that the shooting involved at least two children, with one of the juveniles among the deceased.

Both surviving victims remain in critical condition.

At this stage of the investigation, officials said there are no outstanding suspects and no ongoing threat to the community.

Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation emphasized that the case remains active and additional details will be released as they become available.
